for your right to know
Public records need to be easier to access, to contribute to the common good and give society value, for our right as citizens to know what happens with our tax money. This page is a short way in: how to make a request, how to find the right authority, and how the non-profit behind Handlingar.se works.
How it works
-
Make a request
Choose an authority, say which records you want, and send. The request goes as email and should be answered within a few weeks.
-
Wait for a response
We email you when the authority replies, and if the reply is late. Meanwhile you can read other people’s requests.
-
Published and done
The answer is published online. You have your records, and everyone else can use them too, for your right to know.
